Acclaim has been releasing WWF games for years. While the WCW is clearly the leader of contemporary wrestling leagues, Acclaim remains tied to the WWF because of past contract agreements. We're glad, because the more wrestling games the better, and this one looks pretty good. Plus, there's a version for both the PlayStation and N64, so no one will have to miss out on the greatest sport the earth has ever seen.

What's interesting is that each platform will have exclusive options. While both versions will have cage matches and weapons, the PlayStation version features real video challenges from wrestlers, while the N64 version features exclusive Royal Rumble and Gauntlet modes. Of course, each wrestler comes packed with signature moves and holds, as well as unique finishing moves.

The graphics are polygonal, with photorealistic textures placed onto the polygons, so everything looks just like the WWF. War Zone even comes packed with a Training mode to help up-and-coming grapplers. Featured wrestlers include: Undertaker, Goldust, Ahmed Johnson, Mankind, Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, British Bulldog, Faarooq, Ahmed, Rocky, Hunter. Note: Shamrock is a character exclusive to the N64 version.

Both games are set to ship in July.
